We
are very pleased to announce that Mr. Richard Daniels,
a Ph.D. student in the Washington University Neuroscience
Program, received the 2007 Thomas Elkins Prize for the
best Doctoral dissertation in the field of Drosophila
neurobiology.
Richard
is conducting his thesis work in Aaron DiAntonio's laboratory
in the Department of Pharmacology and Molecular Biology,
and studies the physiology of glutamatergic neurotransmission.
Richard
received the Prize at the Neurobiology of Drosophila
Meeting (Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, New York) and
also delivered an honorary lecture.
