In Vivo Metabolism of Abeta in Alzheimer's Disea
We are currently using novel techniques to measure amyloid-beta metabolism in humans.  We hypothesize that there is a decrease in amyloid-beta clearance in people who develop Alzheimer's Disease compared to people who do not.
Our goals are to quantify the pathophysiologic changes in humans that lead to Alzheimer disease, and develop new biomarkers for antecedent detection of AD and to test pharmacodynamic effects of proposed disease modifying therapies.
