 ndreas-burkhalter-phd/">Andreas Burkhalter</a> has been a member of the Dep
 artment of Neuroscience since 1984. He is Professor of Neuroscience at Wash

 "195" height="227" /></p><p>Burkhalter pioneered the analysis of structure\
 , function\, and connectivity of mouse visual cortex. His work has shown th
 at partitioning into multiple areas\, distributed sensory processing\, hier
 archical wiring of bottom-up and top-down pathways\, and modular circuit or
 ganization are conserved architectural features of mammalian cortex. He is 
 a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.</p><p>
