 tions can impact physiology. This connection is evident by the emergence of
  disease following stress\, or recovery in response to placebo treatment. N
 evertheless\, our understanding of this fundamental aspect of physiology is
  still very limited. In this talk\, I will discuss how the brain represents
  the state of the immune system and how brain activity can regulate periphe
 ral immunity in the context of bacterial infections and cancer.</p>
