SUMMARY: CTCN Seminar Series: Judith Hoeller\, PhD (Janelia Research Group)
DESCRIPTION: Judith Hoeller\, PhD\, from the Janelia Research Group is pres
enting a Center for Theoretical & Computational Neuroscience Seminar Series
  talk.

 from Mice\, Flies and AI"</h3><p><a href="https://www.janelia.org/people/ju

ller collaborates with the Pachitariu Lab to study population responses of
visual neurons in mice to slanted\, textured\, flat walls. She finds eviden
ce that\, as walls rotate in 3D space\, population responses rotate in a hi
gher-dimensional space\, independent of the texture on the wall. She is wor
king with the Reiser Lab to study visual processing in the fly. Using a 3D
reconstructed fly brain from electron microscopy slices\, she recently star
ted to categorize visual neurons into different cell-types and formulate hy
pothesis about their computations based on the neurons’ morphology and conn
 ectivity.</p><p><a href="https://ctcn.wustl.edu/events/">View all events fr
