Dissecting the Role of Astrocytes in Brain Circuits and Behavior
Thomas Papouin is a man with short hair and wearing glasses.

Thomas Papouin, PhD
Assistant Professor of Neuroscience
Washington University School of Medicine

The Papouin Lab focuses on astrocytes, a subclass of glial cells that can respond to different forms of brain activity and release signaling molecules to influence neuronal function. The goal of the Papouin Lab is to understand how the network of astrocytes contributes to information processing in the brain.
