We are pleased to announce the appointment of Kaslina Love Mosley, MS, as our new Director of the Department of Neuroscience Business Office, with a start date of June 15.
Kaslina started her path at Washington University 18 years ago, in the College of Arts and Sciences and then as a Special Project Administrator in The Genome Institute and the Department of Genetics. For five years she managed the Photosynthetic Antenna Research Center on the Danforth Campus, which was funded by a $14.4 million grant from the Department of Energy. Most recently, Kaslina moved to the Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases where she has been the research manager for the division.
Kaslina has also been actively involved in the National Council of University Research Administrators where she has held a number of positions, including as an elected board member. She also established “The Mentoring Circle” at Washington University and in 2017 won the Beyond Housing Community Engagement Volunteer of the Year Award.
We welcome Kaslina to our Department with excitement and are certain that she will provide inspirational leadership for our business operations. Her depth of business experience and her knowledge of both Wash U campuses make her extremely well suited to this critical role. A person of such caliber will be invaluable for our department.
