2017 Nobel Laureate Michael Rosbash delivered the address on Drosophila circadian biology.

On Oct. 23, Michael Rosbash, PhD, presented the 2025 Department of Neuroscience Distinguished Lecture titled “Leveraging Drosophila Circadian Biology Reveals a Neurodegeneration-Aging-Cancer Connection.”
Rosbash is a 2017 Nobel Prize laureate in Physiology or Medicine, the Peter Gruber Endowed Chair in Neuroscience and professor of biology at Brandeis University, and a Howard Hughes Medical Institute investigator.
Rosbash was awarded the 2017 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine along with Jeffrey Hall and Michael Young “for their discoveries of molecular mechanisms controlling the circadian rhythm.”
